CWCheat 0.2.2:

Weltall has released a new version of his Cheat App for the PSP, heres whats new:

[ALL] Now cwcheat checks if you are using the ms driver patch by dark alex which uses the 3.7x prx on 3.8x/3.9x and disables protections enabled
in the main menu to avoid the bugs of the original 3.8x/3.9x driver. I suggest installing the 3.7x driver if possible.
[ALL] really added the polish translation by Bolec. (there was a wrong one in the release before this)
[ALL] renamed 360folder to ALL as it contains builds for all firmwares except 3.7x
[PACKAGE] Renamed cwcheat-IRSHELL.prx to cwcheat-LOADER.prx as it's useful also with other loaders
[PACKAGE] Added a full cwcheat-LOADER.prx (ex cwcheat-IRSHELL.prx) build. The build available before is in the lite folder, it's called
cwcheatlite-LOADER.prx and should be used with irshell.
[POPS] Added a pops prx for loaders (pratically irshell for now as far as i know). It will start in homebrew mode but you can make it
load the pops game id by pressing the same combination as the one used in the psp game prx for loaders in the cwcheat main menu: L TRIGGER + SELECT
This new build is called cwcheatpopslite-LOADER.prx and it's in the lite folder.
[ALL] Now the db downloader resolves by itself the ip adress of the server so if the ip changes some times in the future it will always be able to
resolve the new ip without an update
[ALL] various cleanups to the db downloader thanks to insertwittyname for some missing things in the sdk
[ALL] Added some checks for null in the db downloader
[ALL] db downloader was ported to 3.x kernel. The 3.x version features also a skippable netconf dialog to choose the wanted access point
(if you don't need it or have problems with it just cancel it and the old behaviour, connect to first ap configuration, will be applyed)
[ALL] Added a check in the db download for errors returned by the server and used msgdialogs (3.x build) to show some possible errors
[ALL] (3.x build) Added a check for a bigger database in the memory stick than in the online database. If this happens the user is asked if he wants
to overwrite it or not.
[ALL] fixed some bugs in the db save function
[ALL] now it's possible to relocate the cpu load/fps in game display to the top left position: put a CPUFPS POS = in the config file and set it as 1
to enable it
[ALL] fixed a little bug in the memory dump function which could lead to the first dump being always overwritten when the memory stick was full
[ALL] now when dumping the ram to the memory stick, even if cwcheat was just started up again, it won't overwrite the dumps starting from 0 but
will start from the first empty dump slot (note this doesn't affect the dump done by the difference search functions).
This will be usefull for searching pointers (or more commonly called DMA codes...)
[ALL] Added an SDK for cwcheat which allows to access some functions which were exported by the plugin for more than one year. It consists of a
library and an header providing informations on the exported functions.
[PACKAGE] changed the file structure. now the old MS_ROOT* folders are called INSTALL* to avoid confusion in new users. Plus the plugin prx were moved
to the cwcheat subfolder of seplugin to increase order and reduce difficulty of manual install. According to these changes the installation
instructions were changed and now are easier. If you use an old guide keep this changes in mind when following them.
[ALL] Added a new pc based application pointer searcher built for both linux (tried on ubuntu 7.10) and windows (tried on vista/2003) in gtk+2.0.
This application will allow estremely easy pointer search: starting with two or more dumps you will be able to do various searches based
on old results till you iron out the adresses you need. At that point the application can create easily pointer cheat codes for cwcheat:
8/16/32bit and normal/inverse offset codes can be generated. It can be found in the PC folder of the package in the linux and windows sub folders.

This is a windows based program. No install needed, Just Extract and Run.

I got tired of releasing codes using CheatMaster and Everyone Asking please convert them to Cw , So I just built a converter for them to use lol.

LSDLDOOM-PS2 : Another flavour of Doom for the PS2

Ptek have updated the port of lsdldoom a Doom Variant for the PS2, heres the release details:

Suddently, it seems Doom is popular on the PS2 for the second time. This is the second public port to reach the console, and this time, it has sound !

So, Lukasz also did a fine job and wrapped it with the shareware doom WAD file, so from >here< you can get a full contained version (one ELF file only) bundled with the shareware WAD.

However I decided to take the source and do some simple changes.

First, I’ve got rid of that flickering interlaced screen mode and fixed the aspect ratio to match the original from the PC version, as I did for the other Doom port.

Secondly, I did nothing to the Yu’s sources That it, those already supported loading from USB storage, so you can take my modified version, put on a USB pen along with a Doom WAD of your choice : doom.wad, doom1.wad, doom2.wad, doomu.wad, plutonia.wad, tnt.wad and doom2f.wad seems to be supported. Remember to put the WAD file on the root of the USB device, otherwise it will not load. Just a comment : It seems there is an issue with the USB data fetching causing a hang-up. I really don’t know if it’s a bug of this port, but I strongly suspect it may be due to the concorrency of the audio playing routines and USB driver, since both uses the IOP and the PS2 is not very multi-tasking as you may know.

Anyway, this is only a small update to the excellent work of Jason Yu. There is room for a lot of improvements, such as better controls, a WAD selector, and a way to select weapons of course. Speaking of controls, from the menu select the READ ME to view the currently mapped joypad buttons.

What I plan now : apply the sound sources to the Lukasz port. Let’s see how things progress - it might be more complicated than I’m hoping.

Sony Part Of Blu-Ray Patent Investigation

The U.S. International Trade Commission is reportedly looking into patent infringement allegations related to Blu-ray disc players and other products, and has included Sony in its investigation.

According to Reuters, the Commission has said its investigation encompasses "short-wavelength light-emitting diodes and laser diodes used in such electronics as handheld mobile devices, traffic lights and high-definition DVD players."

The investigation was reportedly precipitated by a complaint filed in February by Gertrude Neumark Rothschild, a Columbia University Professor Emeritus, who says that a variety of U.S. imports infringe on her patent and should be blocked.

European PS3 Games Get A Price-Cut

Yes, Europe, you pay too much for games. I feel your pain. If your purse-strings are pinched too tightly to allow for full-price gaming, though, you'll be interested to know that SCEE have announced some price-cuts for some of their older PS3 games. No mention of whether or not this constitutes the PS3 debut of the European "Platinum" range, but looking at the list of titles, I'd wager that's a "yes".

Eight titles will have their prices cut to €40 sometime soon (only date we have is "fall"). They are:

- Resistance
- Genji
- F1
- MotorStorm
- Heavenly Sword
- Lair
- Folklore
- Ridge Racer 7

SOCOM Confrontation's Special Forces organizatons revealed

Fans of Sony's popular militaristic FPS series are probably already keen to the fact that the upcoming May issue of EGM will blow the doors off of the highly secretive next installment, SOCOM Confrontation. 1UP recently added to the meager pile of info for the game in the form of a correction for their ink-and-paper counterpart -- the list of Special Forces organizations featured in the game is apparently incorrect in EGM's upcoming feature.

As it stands right now, clan-bound players can join up with and enjoy the unique equipment options made available from five different, actual military units: U.S.'s Navy SEALs, U.K.'s Special Air Service (SAS), Germany's Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK), Spain's Unidad de Operaciones Especiales (UOE), and France's 1er Régiment Parachutiste d'Infanterie de Marine (1er RPIMa). We're sure this will make for some realistic, intense firefights -- still, we wish there were more eccentric units we could sign our digital soldiers up with, like the Michigan Militia, or McHale's Navy (the Tom Arnold remake regiment, of course).

SEGA Releases Playable Condemned 2: Bloodshot Demo on PlayStation Network

What's this..?

Find my coordinates is a homebrew Lua App that i've performed to help Lua Coders to define their text position on the screen.Wa all know that the Lua fonction we use to print texts goes with and X and Y values, which defines the text localization on the screen.Sometimes, it appears hard to estimate these coordoninates.With this Homebrew, it's now easiest to define u'r text coordinates.
Only what u have to do is to move a block using the D-Pad.After u've set your position, you can read the X and Y values or better, simply press cross button to export coordinates into two text files( "X.txt" and "Y.txt") into the Data folder of this Homebrew..

PSPSeq 2.11 is released and an announcement of first album available at PSP-only netl

hi, i'm writing to announce two things:

1. PSPSeq 2.11, a PSP homebrew application for writing music, is now available for download. PSPSeq contains a wide variety of audio synthesis, sample-playback, and FX modules along with a flexible step sequencer for creating loops and songs. the latest version contains both bug fixes and new features to enable you to more quickly and efficiently write music. this program, along with sample loops and songs, can be downloaded here:

ZeroSPU2 0.4.5 released

ZeroSPU2 is a plugin for PCSX2 (the PlayStation 2 emulator for PC), and it got updated.

Info and changelog:

As part of my worldwide beta testing program I'm releasing this improved ZeroSPU2. Most of the time you won't notice a difference! But those picky games may get less picky (Wild Arms 5, Devil May Cry, Mojib Ribbon etc)

Noteable Changes:
- Corrected samplerate in Timestretch from 44100 to 48000
- Improved DMA timing lengths and avoid double interrupting
- Sound could crackle due to the speed of playback and not being allowed new data, now fixed.

Its possible sound will stil crackle due to priorities, try setting PCSX2 to low priority if you do experience this.

PCSX2 0.9.5 SVN Rev. 330 released

New beta build of the PlayStation 2 emulator for PC.

Changelog:

- Fixed a bug in the recompiler causing corrupted text on King Kong, may effect other games also with distorted textures/text.
- Changed 1 op to interpreted on the MMI, it was actually slower being recompiled! videos seeing 10-30% speed increases, enjoy.

Bonjour tout le mode!

Having his head like a big pumpkin force to work on my engine isometric collision, I decided to take a little bit of a good time.

I was amused on my old homebrew which bears the name of sweet Be Happy

[Old news] What's new in version 0.3:
Compatible-Fat and Slim
- Improving internal code (cleaner)
- Addition of graphical effects
- Other small coolest
- Feature baseline music is now ms0: / MUSIC

[NEW] What's new in version 0.4:
- More pressing quickly, the more you mark points!
- The number of points earned will be displayed
- Ends cheating! We can no longer remain pressed several buttons at once.

By the way I look for a designer to redo my keys PSP, but not in pixel art

Installation:
- Extracting archive with Winrar on file GAME150 or GAME3XX

The principle:
You are stressed, you enter the job. You say "Oh I listen to music on my PSP." Very well ... But it is also a PSP console then enjoy it! Play Be Happy.

copy the Lua Player HM v4.0 into your folder for Lua programing and run from xmb.
EASY!

Added WIFI Abiltiy to the player. You can select and add new wireless networks
Wlan.init()
Wlan.term()
Included test file

Can Run Eboot.pbp files now from lua code.(May not always work)

Fixed Mount and unmount flash and UMD's.(Sometimes didnot work)

Show what LuaPlayerHM version it is.

Slim and Phat Enabled.

What's it?
It is a simple GUI for ctf/unctf tools.
With this program you can create CTF theme files directly on your PC, without the need of a PSP!
You can also extract files from a CTF file and install CTF themes in your PSP!

Features
v1.0
-Possibility to create CTF themes using only a PC!
-Possibility to extract files from a CTF files (files will be put in EXTRACTED folder)
-Possibility to install easily required PRXs in SUPPORT folder (they have to be put in SUPPORT folder in any case, otherwise program will not work!).
-Possibility to install CTF themes in your PSP

Note: program will not require a installation, but it requires the .NET Framework 3.5 (you can download it FREE from Microsoft website!).
DATA folder must be in the same folder of CTF Manager.exe!

lsdldoom - Doom for PS2

FeedBucket/Lukasz have released a port of lsdldoom a Doom Variant for the PS2, heres the release details:

I just tried your port FeedBucket, it compiles just fine and sound effects do in fact work, however music doesn't (as you mention).

I compiled your port with romfs support and included the DOOM shareware data, which should run from both host, cdrom, etc.

Included is DOOM.ELF and DOOMP.ELF (DOOM.ELF packed with ps2-packer)

I think further work should be done on this work instead of my hackish one, as it seems more complete ;-)

As a note, I sometimes got an exception when running the DOOM.ELF using PS2Link without romfs support.

Project description:
My Project is a platform/action game inspired to Cave Story

oukutsu Monogatari (a wonderfull freeware game for pc).
The game is simple : There are 3 type of games
1)Catch the mimigas that fall from the sky,
2)Ride the Green Tea Dragon,
3)Escape From the Boss.
They are very intuitive , however this are the controller button

Button L for change level (at any time)
BUtton R for 2 PLAYERS
directional cross for moving 1 player
square , circle , triangle for move 2 player
cross for confirm level selection

-It is possible to play with 2 player with only one PSP
-There is the succession of night and light

i hope that this game entertains you.
