Progressions of hack native side of the Vita are rare, so little news like this is always good to take.
mr.gas, a member of Wololo forum announced today, with the help of tomtomdu80 (known for its port VHBL Apache Overkill last year), they were able to dump the contents of a Vita memory card. Nevertheless, for strange reason, they do not share their method, they have simply given enough evidence of their achievement. Since the announcement of katsu and technical revelations about copying game cartridges, there was Dump no announcement for more than six months. Sony uses proprietary cards on the Vita, which makes it virtually impossible to read without additional hardware. Moreover, one might think that the content is encrypted, but according mr.gas, the majority is not. Yifan Lu, who needs no introduction, mentions that contained unencrypted is more or less useless in a context of hack, as long as there the encrypted content.
