Video game peripheral developer and manufacturer Komodo has decided to pull the plug on its third-party motion controller for the PlayStation 3.
Unveiled this January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the 3D Motion Freedom Remote strongly resembled Nintendo's Wii Remote. The reason given for the cancellation of development and production of the controller was the difficulty of getting it to work with a number of existing PS3 games.
"...especially the racing titles." said Dan Workman, representative for Komodo's distributer Innex, Inc., during a phone call with News10 "It just wasn't worth it."
The 3D Motion Freedom Remote was scheduled for a June 2010 release.
