Heres an excerpt
Fight fans likely won't Ertain's Boxer's Road 2 on shelves in America, but this PSP entry in the PlayStation boxing series may be worth a look on import for its complex strategizing and dynamic action in the ring. We got a chance to try out the final build (or 95% complete build, if you must ... the game ships in 5 days here, so we can't imagine the dev team doing much more) and found some decent production values and hectic gameplay from bell to bell. It's not a perfect boxing sim by any means (if it's not possible to adjust the analog sensitivity, ignore some of the good things we're about to say), and a little bit of Japanese language skill or a translation guide will be needed to get the most of it, but for those not satisfied in their punchlust with Fight Night and The Con on PSP, this is another option to check out.
Developer Grand Prix Games has transferred the console experience (the game series originated on home systems), adding some nice PSP touches along the way. One cool element shown was that in the robust character creation mode had a photo store feature where you can use your own picture for your boxer avatar for wireless fights -- if you also manage to make a 3D character in the mode that resembles you in the mode, you're a set man. The game is as much a boxing simulator as it is a boxing game, with full structures for scheduling your work-outs, your meals, and your fights. A story mode takes you through it all, as you deal with the complications of grooming a boxer to become a champ.
