SCEA has kicked off a new promotion that offers PlayStation Network users a rebate for frivolous spending on the PlayStation Store this month. If you spend $100 on the US PS Store in October Sony will credit your PSN Wallet with $20 - essentially a 20 per cent rebate. The offer, however, only accounts for the first $100 spent - you can't spend $200 on the same PSN account and get $40 back. Hitting $100 buying $6 PSN would have been tough, but with the recent introduction ofSony's 'PSN Day 1 Digital' program - which offers PS3 retail games digitally on the same day as their arrival in shops - hitting that mark should be easy. Especially with Resident Evil 6 and Need for Speed Most Wanted on the list of titles included in the program this month. The promotion counts any and all purchases, so buying a PS Plus subscription, and spending funds that was in your wallet prior to October is all acceptable. $100 spent is all that matters.
