Sony's digital TV and movie marketplace Video Unlimited will revieve a new 'Season Pass' feature, the company has announced.
Users of the Video Unlimited service will be able to purchase entire seasons of TV shows at once for a single lump sum, including current seasons with episodes that are yet to be released. Until now users were only able to purchase individual episodes. Purchased seasons will appear in the My Videos section of the PlayStation Store or Video Unlimited account, where any future episodes will be viewable as soon as they become available.
The new 'Buy Season' button will be added to the PS Store on PS3, via the web and mobiles on thursday, October 24. Sony says the feature is "coming soon" to PS4, and Sony Bravia televisions and Blu-ray Disc players (released 2013 or later).
To coincide with the launch of Season Pass, some is also running discounts "on full seasons of our most popular TV series", inlcuding The Walking Dead, from October 30 to November 17.
