PlayStation 4 consoles will be available in limited supply at retailers into the summer. Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House told the Wall Street Journal that demand for the system has been high across the board, and in particular in the U.S. and Europe, since the console first launched in November.
"We're struggling to keep up with demand," House said. "Conservatively, as we get into the early summer months, we'll be closer to a full supply situation."
PlayStation 4 had sold 6 million units worldwide as of early March. The NPD Group reported that sales of Sony's latest home console doubled those of Xbox One in January.
