November 12th, 2012, 15:38 Posted By: wraggsterA new version of the Sony PSP emulator for Android/Windows has been released: Version 0.2 has now been released! Quite a few more games show something at least. Some progress has been made, PPSSPP can now decrypt games, a few more games reach the title screen etc. There's no new APK release yet. However the big news is that PPSSPP has been successfully ported to Blackberry 10 by xsacha, here's a Video: . The relentless focus on speed and portability. Also, PPSSPP is (not currently 100% but will be) deterministic, which allows for "input-movie" re-recording and other things that the TAS community considers essential. Many PSP emulators have tried to use native OS APIs for threading and timing. While this may seem like the right thing to do, it isn't as it throws all determinism out of the window. PPSSPP implements its own event scheduler that drives the emulated system, based on counting the emulated clock cycles. This also means that you will be able to run at 200% or 50% or any speed that you fancy, once UI for such feature has been implemented. Download and Give Feedback Via Comments
