As Take-Two mostly does during the beginning of the week, they've made a few announcements today. Last, but not least they've announced the release date of GTA: Liberty City Stories for the PlayStation 2. Ready ? Ok!
GTA: Liberty City Stories for the PlayStation 2 console will hit North American stores on June 6th, 2006 pricing at $19.99 and European retail shelves on June 9th, 2006 for €29.99 and £19.99 in the UK. They've also made it clear that we'll be seeing the ''same story line and missions'', thus proving the rumor about extended missions wrong.
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories has been the platform-defining release on the PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) system worldwide since its October 2005 launch. The all time #1 selling PSP system game, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, offers PlayStation 2 owners a big screen experience of the same story line and missions, featuring the interactive open environments, innovative gameplay, superb voice talent and diverse music that are the hallmarks of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
This comes as a confirmation about the rumor that spun onto the web last week about the delay of LCS on PS2. However, it is a bit later than the initial April/May release. Oh well, atleast we have a final release date now and good news for Liberty City Stories virgins, who can experiene all the excitement for only 19.99. The only thing that Rockstar can do now is to release a few screenshots, a trailer or two, and perhaps a PS2 ''mini site'' on the official LCS website....
