RPG colossus Square Enix could be lookign to sell two of its franchises to third-parties; Disney tie-in Kingdom Hearts and much-loved SNES and handheld series Mana.
This is all according to reports emanating from German site GameFront, which offers no details on the supposed sell-off other than that the two role-playing franchises will be flogged in the next few months.
However, the Deutschland publication moots Disney's in-house studio Fall Line as the developer snapping up the Kingdom Hearts rights - which makes sense considering the series is based around Disney characters - while no potential buyer is specified for Mana.
We contacted Square Enix who simply told us that "Square Enix does not comment on rumour or speculation," but we'll keep you updated on any developments in the coming days.
