An Insomniac Games rep has said the developer shares the "frustration" of gamers miffed over the lack of news on the Vita version of Rachet & Clank: QForce (aka Full Frontal Assault in US), which has missed its already-delayed release window without explanation.
The game - which crucially was pitched as a cross-buy, cross-play title for PS3 and Vita - hit PS3 in November, but the Vita version wasdelayed to January. This window has been clearly missed and there's yet to be any further correspondence from publisher Sony or Tin Giant - the outsourced developer handling the Vita port.
Insomniac, developer of the original PS3 version, vented its frustration in a recent and now-deleted Facebook post.
"Insomniac cannot make any comment about the game. We have repeatedly asked Sony and Tin Giant for an update to share with our fans. They have not provided any update we are allowed to share," the Insomniac rep said (via Polygon).
"We are sorry for any disappointment, but there is nothing we've authorized to release publicly. Trust us in that we share your frustration, and have been passing your comments on to Sony, we also advise you contact Sony directly to share your disappointment and frustration," they added.
Sony ensured fans last month that, despite the delays, the Cross-Buy offer still stands; those who buy the PS3 version will be entitled to a download code for the Vita version - which will be compatible with cross-play.
The publisher also promised to give players the first DLC pack, a 'Miniboss multiplayer skin pack', as compensation for the delay.
