I haven’t tested it yet (or even tried to compile it), but I’m posting this because I believe this could lead to a bunch of good things. Naehrwert just twitted that he is able to decrypt the content of the PS3 Hard Drive, and posted basically all the required code to do it.
The code, at a quick glance, requires you to have access to your eid root key (this should not be too difficult given that there are lots of tools to do it, such as eeid_rkdumper), and a list of sectors (of your hard drive, I assume), which might be retrievable with standard tools?
As usual, I’m sure that noob friendly tools will come up soon enough, if that turns out to be as interesting as I think it is.
