Sony will use May’s Champions League final to kickstart its PS4 marketing drive. PS4 Daily reports that SCEE has booked a slot during the May 25th event, which will be aired on ITV. Sony is alreadyan existing Champions League sponsor having penned a deal reportedly worth $40m.
The Champions League final is a traditional marketing hotspot for games ads and has previously been utilised by titles such as Black Ops II, Medal of Honor, Prototype 2 andModern Warfare 3.
This year it will be contested by the winners of the upcoming semi-finals – Barcelona vs Bayern Munich and Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund.
