FIFA 14 on Vita will not feature any of the gameplay improvements found in many of the game’s other versions.
"There will be a Vita version, and it'll be the same great gameplay," EA Sports' David Rutter told Eurogamer. "It's the same great gameplay and new kits."
Although it has not been confirmed, the same can also be presumed of both the PS2 and Wii releases, the latter of which has been criticised before for failing to implement new modes.
EA presumably adopts the development policy because the comparatively lower sales of the game on Vita and Wii do not warrant the game’s redevelopment on those platforms.
It’s a different story on consoles and PC, of course.
The PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of the games will feature a host of new features but will be based on the existing game engine. The PS4 and Xbox One releases, meanwhile, are built from the ground-up using EA’s new Ignite game engine.
