Snowblind Studios, the developer behind the likes of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and EverQuest-themed action-RPG Champions: Return to Arms, is currently whipping superhero venture Justice League Heroes into shape.
Justice League Heroes is based on the DC Comics superhero team and is in development for Xbox, PS2 and PSP. Due this autumn, the title is an action-adventure with RPG-style character customisation bolted on that finds big-name superheroes - Superman and Batman, for example - teaming up to save the day. Although little on the storyline has been revealed, it has been mentioned that the game boasts an original plot penned by comic book writer Dwayne McDuffie. Apparently, events will take players to the farthest corners of the universe.
Revealing more on the RPG-style customisation element in Justice League Heroes, an official announcement on the game says that each hero in the title "possesses an array of character-specific, upgradeable superpowers resulting in unique controls and fighting styles". It's additionally mentioned that the game features unlockable Justice League superheroes, interactive and destructible environments are included and that combat - and presumably the main event - can be experienced in two-player co-op mode.
