US retailer Target cancels some PS4 console pre-orders

The delays of Watch Dogs and DriveClub have had an unfortunate consequence for a handful of gamers in the US.
Kotaku reports that consumers who pre-ordered with the PS4 and Watch Dogs bundle or PS4 and DriveClub bundle with Target have not just seen their games cancelled – they’ve also lost their hardware too.
Adding insult to injury, Target has said it will re-open pre-orders for the machine later this week on a “first come, first served basis”.
The same thing has also happened to those who pre-ordered the retailer’s Xbox One Watch Dogs bundle.
The incident appears to be isolated, at least. On this side of the Atlantic both Amazon and GAMEhave told affected customers that their hardware is safe.
