If you've been pining for new ways to harness the Cell processor to achieve Maximum Photo Viewing Awesomeness™, the incoming PlayStation 3 firmware update (version 2.60) will satiate your wanton cravings with the aptly titled Photo Gallery. Firmware 2.60 also adds DivX 3.11 support -- a blessing for those of you who still have ripped movies from 1999. Additionally, non-PSN members will be able to access the PS Store to browse for demos and other free goodies. According to the official PS blog, the update is "coming soon."
