Sony 'more committed to new IP than other platform holders'

PlayStation president and CEO Andrew House has said the company is "more committed to new IP establishment and delivery" than other platform holders.
Following the arrival of the PlayStation 4 in November, House has said development of new IP for the console is "critically important".
"In terms of sheer breadth and depth, we are in a better shape in terms of third party support for this console launch than certainly any I've ever launched," said House to MCV regarding the launch of PS4.
"And I do think that the early consumer is going to buy in if they sense that there is a roadmap of great content that is going to come down the pipe," added House, before stressing that the new IP delivery in 2014 is "critically important".
"We are more committed to new IP establishment and delivery than most other platform holders out there," he said.
Sony's major new IP currently announced for PS4 is The Order 1886, a game set in an alternate history that mixes Victorian-era London with relatively modern technologies and mythological monsters, in development at God of War PSP studio Ready at Dawn.
New third-party IPs coming in 2014 include Bungie's Destiny, and Ubisoft titles Watch Dogs and Tom Clancy's The Division.
