It appears a Vita tie-in game for Assassin’s Creed III is in the works.
A NeoGAF forum user has posted details from an issue of Game Informer which supposedly contains a preview of Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation for the PS Vita.
The posting follows a VG247 report last week that the title was listed (and subsequently pulled) by retailer Zavvi.
If the information is true, Liberation takes place in New Orleans in the same time period as AC3, and features a female protagonist.
The game is in development by Ubisoft Sofia and will release alongside Assassin’s Creed III on October 30th. Multiplayer ‘tailored to the Vita experience’ was also mentioned.
No official word from Ubisoft yet. With E3 this week and specifically the publisher’s press conference later today, odds are we’ll know the validity of the info very soon.
