Syphon Filter hero and precision strike operative Gabe Logan is infiltrating PSP this summer in Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Sony's revealed. Logan, working for a secret black ops US agency in this latest adventure, is fighting global terrorism and wading through 23 missions in an attempt to retrieve Dark Mirror, a lethal weapon that apparently threatens Earth's populace.
Sony says that Dark Mirror has been tailor-made for PSP, and there's promise of enhanced enemy AI and new deadly melee attacks for Logan. Gabe's additionally managed to get his agent mitts on a new rifle that employs the latest darts technology, and a snazzy pair of vision enhancement goggles - so no excuse for not hitting the bullseye every time then, we guess.
What's more, Syphon Filter's graphics engine has been overhauled for this PSP outing and we can also expect a difficulty level that adapts to our prowess during the action. Sony adds that there's "a bonus mission for fans of the franchise which clarifies the ending of the previous episode - Omega Strain" too and accompanying single-player is a multiplayer component that features five "multi-purpose" maps.
