The PlayStation App which will link your phone to PS4 has been delayed slightly in Europe, but will still be available in time for the console's launch.
Previously announced for a November 22 release, the PS4 companion app will now be released alongside the PS4 in the region on November 29.
"We're still making some final tweaks to ensure the experience is butter-smooth for you ahead of the PS4 launch next Friday," said Sony. The firm accompanied its announcement with a new video (above) showing off the capabilities of the official app.
The PlayStation App will link to your PSN account, allowing you to see your friends list and their activities, compare trophies and exchange messages. It'll give you remote access to the PlayStation Store, where you can purchase games that will be automatically downloaded to PS4.
The app will also link directly to your PS4 console, allowing for second-screen functionality, and letting you use the your mobile device's keyboard to more conveniently type into text fields within the PS4 user interface.
The app is available now in US for iOS and Android devices.
