UK retail giant GAME says all customers who pre-ordered a PS4 and Xbox One for delivery before Christmas will get their console ahead of December 25th.
It follows a number of complaints from customers who have had their next-gen games machine cancelled.
GAME claims it has sold hundreds of thousands of PS4 and Xbox One consoles, but admits a 'small proportion' of customers have received cancellation notices for various reasons - such as credit card expiry or bank issues.
Yet the company says these pre-orders are safe, and have guaranteed that anyone that bought a PS4 or Xbox One for delivery before December 25th, will have their console to play on Christmas day.
"There has been huge demand for both of the next generation consoles and we're delighted to have been able to bring so much stock to the UK market," said UK marketing director at GAME.
"There are literally hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers who we've helped start their next-gen experience.
"There are a small proportion of orders which have been affected by payment processing issues which are out of our control and we're working with each customer individually to make sure their issues are resolved.
"We know that these customers are desperate for us to give them reassurance that they won't miss out on their console and that's exactly what we're doing. We've been proactively contacting pre-order customers and will continue to work closely with them. Any customer who pre-ordered in time to have their console guaranteed for Christmas will get the opportunity to buy a console pre-Christmas - that's a promise.
"We're absolutely committed to bringing as much stock as possible to the UK market. We were delighted to be able to bring additional stock to market for launch and we will continue fulfilling all our pre-order customers' orders."
The PS4 and Xbox One have been a phenomenal success for UK retail, generating hundreds of millions of pounds in extra revenue this Christmas.
