Sony PSN boss Eric Lempel has said that while PSP Mini titles won't support updates or multiplayer to begin with, there is scope for future Minis to don such features.
Following statements from an SCEA rep who said no multiplayer or DLC support will be in PSP Minis for QA testing reasons, Lempel has said: "So you can patch Minis, but we won't have multiplayer functions in the beginning."
He went on to clarify: "Basically, to get these developers on board, and to make it easier to test and get it through the pipeline, we won't be allowing that functionality for the first stage of Minis.
"It's something we will consider in the future," he said. Announced at Gamescom, PSP Minis will be exclusive to the PlayStation Network and have a 100MB size limit. 15 titles will be made available at launch on October 1 in Europe / PAL territories and the US, coinciding with the release of the PSP Go.
