Namco Bandai is hosting a PlayStation Plus-exclusive beta test for Dark Souls 2 in EU this Sunday, October 27.
The beta will kick off on Sunday morning at 7am and span just three hours until 10am (UK time). The beta software is available to download now, and since the beta phase is so short Sony recommends that you download and install the software ahead of time.
Dark Souls 2 beta access kicked off in US for a limited run of players on October 12. The beta will open up to approximately 30,000 more players on October 27.
For US players, a 'universal code' redeemable via the PS Store will be posted on the game's Facebook page or sent to players via the PSN message inbox. The first 30,000 people to redeem a code will be able to download the Network Test client.
The US servers will go online from 11:00pm Pacific on Saturday October 26, and run until 2:00am Pacific, Sunday October 27.
Beta participants will require 3.7GB of free space on their PS3 HDD and will be encouraged to report any issues they encounter.
Containing "an entirely new area of the game" and "overwhelming enemy encounters", the beta will let participants "delve into one of the most treacherous areas of the Dark Souls 2 world".
Namco started taking beta registrations in North America and Europe/Australasia last month.
The publisher has confirmed a Dark Souls 2 release date of March 11, 2014 in North America and March 14 in Australia and Europe.
