The average RRP of a boxed PlayStation Vita game in the UK on launch day will be £33, MCV can reveal.
The news comes as Vita gets its second £44.99 RRP title in the shape of FIFA Football. It joins Sony’s own Uncharted: Golden Abyss in the full-price tier.
Vita arrives next month in the midst of uncertainty concerning the handheld market. Advocates like Nintendo argue that it remains healthy and viable. Others, however, believe that the popularity of the App Store and the increasing consumer expectations for cheap games mean traditional console gaming is no longer seen as affordable.
