=================

----=[ PsPectrum ]=---------------------------------------------------------------

Pspectrum is a Spectrum emulator for psp. It is far from perfect but it runs
almost 95% of 48k/128k games and also has sound (only 48k by now).

About 4 moths of developing has been needed to bring this emulator to the psp.
I could have chosen to port one of the well known Speccy/Z80 emulators for PC, but
I prefered to start it from scratch because is something I allways wanted to do. So,
don´t blame me for it :D.

---=[ Istallation ]=---------------------------------------------------------------

Unpack the zip file

The contents of the zip file must be copied to /PSP/GAME

The directory tree must be /PSP/GAME/PSPECTRUM y /PSP/GAME/PSPECTRUM%

Games must be copied inside /PSP/GAME/PSPECTRUM/GAMES

Only .Z80 and .SNA support by now.

----=[ How it works ]=-----------------------------------------------------------

The emulator is really easy to use. Every screen has info about what buttons are
used and what they do. The only screen that doesn´t have this is the main emulation
screen (yeah, where you play), so here are some indications:

-> R: Show Keyboard
-> L: Show menues
-> SELECT: Show file selector.

----=[ How to play games ]=-----------------------------------------------------

Well, this can be straight forward if you are used to use speccy emulators on pc,
but I will try to explain the basic funcionality to the people that didn´t do.

Mainly, you open the File selector and select a game. At this point, you will
find yourself in a game menu, with some options on what control type to use. You can
select Kempston Joystick, Sinclair 1, Sinclair 2 or redefine keys (you may see more
but this are what the emulator supports and believe me, they are enough). After
you have selected the control type in game, go to emulator menu and select the same
joy type you selected in game to map this type of joystick to the DPAD/APAD and square button (fire),
and that's all, now you should be able to move the hero and do what heros usually do :).

----=[ Suggested config ]=-------------------------------------------------------

PspSpectrum will run nicely at 266 or 333 Mhz because of all the color blending, etc...
At a lower speed you will notice clicks in the sound when playing.

----=[ TODO ]=--------------------------------------------------------------------

+Border emulation: it is done at this time but still not pefect (contended mem needed)
+Better sound quality: emulation sounds jerky sometimes.
+128 sound emulation: Nothing done, this will be added in next versions.
+Support more formats, by now it only supports .Z80 and .SNA
+Other things I don´t really remember now.

Lota of people has helped to this project, here some:

Oscar (nice programming tips), Rober (Some images), Unai (nice 565 rendering code),
rlyeh (tips on emulation), Z80User (info about speccy hardware),
baktery (tips on audio emulation) and all the others, you know who you are (can´t
remember everyone :P).
