PSPE - (PSP Emulator for Windows)

PSPE by: PSP Wiki Site

PSPE is a remarkable PSP Emulator that plays Homebrew Games and Demos. The EBOOT.PBP files are placed into sub folders and then browsed via the emulators window. It has no Menus to load any games Why is this so remarkable? I hear you say! Well because it is the first of its kind and although rather basic in its current state, it shows great promise as to what can be expected on the PSP emulation front.

PSPE - Setting up and using

Installing.

First thing to do is to get the pspe09 and SDL.dll that will be needed if you haven't already.

Extract the pspe07.zip and then extract the SDL-1.2.8-win32.zip and place the SDL.DLL into the root folder as shown above. Now PSPE does not have any Menus so there isn't any configuration to be done however; you will have to set up a games structure or you will not be able to run any Homebrew or Demo games on it. So next stop is to make your Game folders.

Double left mouse click on the mso Folder and then on PSP and then the GAME folder.

Right mouse click and go to New and Folder. Write in SOFT1 for the name of the new folder.

Extract your Game or Demo into that Folder (making sure it has a EBOOT.PBP in there) and then go back to the ROOT folder and click on the pspe.exe to load the emulator.

When you see the Game icon on the Browser just press Return (Enter) on you keyboard and if the Game/Demo is  supported it will then load and play for you. (as shown above)

To stop the running game you just press either: Esc to return to the main Browser or click on the close button on the top right hand corner of the Emulator. (as shown above)

Now if you would like to have many games show in the Browser then you will have to make more folders naming them Numerological and extract them into their own folders.

Now when you click on the pspe.exe  you will see all the Games/Demos you have on offer to try.

Keyboard Controls

The Keyboard is the only way to control Games and Demos at this moment in time.
